Lot's of extremely useful information. I've been involved with taking over the QMS administration in a large manufacturing organisation, under a manager who is 'new' to Quality System Management and in the year that's gone by we've made a lot of progress in bringing things up to date - but know there is a lot more to do. In particular getting people to understand that a QMS is not just to do with the quality of the product - but is a Management System for the whole business.

Definitely will be bookmarking your web-site (alongside Excel help forums!)and studying your blogs in detail. I arrived at it from Google as I was looking for examples of Quality Policies to give me some inspiration - wait until I challenge (sorry - meant to say "discuss") the external auditor about the signing of the Quality Policy.

Mind you - it might not be a part of the standard - but the top man ought to sign it as it puts him on record.
