About Shaun
Shaun Sayers is the founder and Managing Director of Capable People. For those of you that possess his business card you’ll also know him as the Chief Capable Person. Capable People is the day-job, whereas Capable Blog is a side project. Not completely detached, however, there’s a common theme of intelligent business improvement running across both, but Capable Blog is free Shaun set up Capable People in 2007 after spending a few years working for a UK-based consulting firm, doing much the same type of thing, but without enjoying the very great privilege of being able to make his own decisions
Capable People was set up to pay the bills, yes, but not at any cost. Business improvement is incredibly interesting and rewarding when we get it right, so this can actually be something of a dream job, if only we allow it
Over the past three years Shaun has established a wide and solid partner network across Asia and Africa, and it’s growing all the time. These partnerships are built on trust, ambition and, in no small measure, friendship
Shaun is a regular contributor on the IRCA Forum and in the IRCA INform e-zine, he is always happy to hear from anyone who has anything to say on the topic of performance improvement
Shaun is married to Trish and lives on the outskirts of Durham City along with the dogs at the top of this blog. That photograph was taken half-way up Ben Vrackie in Perthshire, Scotland for anyone who is interested
Travel is Shaun’s main interest and he is fortunate that in his day job he gets paid for doing it. The map below gives an up-to-date summary of his comings and goings. There are a few random photos in the photo gallery, and also in the country categories in the left menu bar
