The A380 and the Cost of Failure
Every now and again you get a nice topical little story that emphasises quite conveniently a key quality principle. Rolls Royce find themselves in the eye of the storm right now regarding the apparent failures in the engines that they have supplied to power the A380 jet
Here’s the story from the BBC website
In this story we are told that the problem (the resulting remedial action, not including the bad publicity) is likely to affect Rolls Royce’s profits for the year by between 4 and 5%. It is stories like this that make my life as a quality management blogger easy
